36. Maurice Clarett, Warren Harding, Football, 1997-2001: Before
he was famous for leading Ohio State to the 2002 National Championship
and his ensuing legal problems, Clarett was one of the best football
players ever to come out of Ohio. The former USA Today National
Offensive Player of the Year and Mr. Football winner rushed for 2,194
yards and 38 touchdowns and caught 19 passes for 351 yards and six
scores as a senior. In the playoffs his senior season (three games)
Clarett rushed for 785 yards and 8 touchdowns.
