31. Tony Jameson, Austintown-Fitch, Wrestling, 2005-2009:
There have been other four-time state
champions, but none have done it like Jameson whose four titles spanned eight
weight classes, which is the biggest spread in history. Jameson became the
fourth wrestler in Division I to win four titles with a hard fought 8-4 win
over New Carlisle Tecumseh’s T.J. Rigel in the 2009 D-I 145 finale. Jameson trailed
4-2 entering the third period. Jameson’s four titles came at 103, 119, 135 and
145. His final high school record was 168-6. He’s now at Ohio State.
