Today we continue the countdown of JJHuddle's “Top 50 Ohio High School Athletes of the Decade” for 1999-2009. Every Monday through Friday from now until March 26, a new athlete will be released.

Today's entry won four state titles and earned multiple national wrestler of the year honors.


Today we continue the countdown of JJHuddle's “Top 50 Ohio High School Athletes of the Decade” for 1999-2009. Every Monday through Friday from now until March 26, a new athlete will be released.

44. Dustin Schlatter, Graham and Massillon Perry, Wrestling, 2001-2005: Schlatter was the 2006 NCAA D-I national champion and is a three-time All-American as he enters his fifth and final season at Minnesota. In high school, Schlatter wasn’t too bad either. Ending his high school career with a 154-4 record, Schlatter won four Ohio high school state titles (two each at Graham and Perry). A two-time Beast of the East champion, Schlatter was named the NHSCA and Asics national wrestler of the year as a senior.
