The game balls are ready for use as the Anthony Wayne Generals host the undefeated Maumee Panthers in a Northern Lakes League contest Friday, September 25, at the Anthony Wayne High School football stadium.

The Generals big man, senior Andrew Donnal (76) plays on both sides of the line. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Donnal will be wearing the black and yellow helmet of the Iowa Hawkeyes next season.

Panther senior wide receiver Nick Gebhart (88) extends the ball over the plane of the goal line for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to cut Anthony Wayne’s lead to 30-20 with 7:31 remaining. Gebhart caught three passes for 33 yards and one touchdown.

The Anthony Wayne Generals football team celebrates their 37-20 victory over the Maumee Panthers. With the win, Anthony Wayne improves its season record to 3-2 and 1-1 in the Northern Lakes League (NLL). The loss tarnishes Maumee’s unbeaten record as the Panthers fall to 4-1 and 1-1 in the NLL conference.
