Winton Wood's Brown makes up mindPosted by Eric Frantz on Feb 01, 2010 at 11:27 am
From Bucknuts.com Bucknuts.com has learned that Cincinnati Winton Woods quarterback/athlete prospect Dominique Brown has verbaled to Louisville, according to a source. (Brown has been unavailable for comment.) Brown, who made an official visit to Louisville this weekend, picked UL over hometown Cincinnati and Ohio State, among others. He made visits to UC and OSU last weekend. The sticking point with Ohio State seemed to be the OSU staff's reluctance to let the 6-2, 210-pound Brown rep at quarterback. A three-year starter under center, Brown rushed for over 1,000 yards his sophomore, junior and senior seasons and ended his final three years with 4,672 yards and 64 touchdowns. This past season was his centerpiece. Brown led the Warriors to their first state title by rushing for 1,985 yards and 32 TDs. He also threw for 723 yards and seven TDs. Brown commanded an offense that averaged 42 points in the regular season and 47 in the playoffs. The Warriors were a mirror image of Brown who turned it up under pressure by rushing for 855 yards and 16 TDs in five postseason games. |
