Hicks doesn't head West

Although it was reported last week that West Chester Lakota West Under Armour All-American linebacker Jordan Hicks would be visiting USC this past weekend, Hicks did in fact NOT go to L.A. for an official visit according to LW sports information director Todd Hummer.

No other details were given.

Hicks has taken official visits to Ohio State and Texas and has visited Florida unofficially. A visit to Alabama is up in the air.

Hicks, who is being recruited by USC linebackers coach Ken Norton, Jr., finished his senior season with 80 tackles (13 for loss), three sacks and two interceptions for Lakota West (9-2). He also had 11 carries for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

On special teams, Hicks had 24 punts for 987 yards (41.1 average).

He is ranked as the top player in the 2010 by Ohio High magazine and the No. 2 player in the country by ESPN Scouts, Inc.
