Springfield's DePriest picks Alabama
Going into today every in-state prospect that Jim Tressel had offered a scholarship that had picked a college had committed to Ohio State. However, the streak has been stopped as linebacker Trey DePriest announced moments ago that he has committed to Alabama over Ohio State.
Jim Tressel and his coaching staff are rounding up a super 2011 recruiting class. However, the one position the OSU staff has not been able to address is linebacker.

Perhaps looking ahead to an early entry to the NFL, DePriest said he plans to "spend the next three to four years at Alabama."
DePriest made his announcement from a BW3 Wild Wings in
DePriest had dozens of scholarship offers including Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, Pitt, West Virginia, Stanford, Oklahoma, Michigan, Virginia Tech and Cincinnati. However, he narrowed his decision down to the Buckeyes and Crimson Tide before deciding to head south to play his college football.

football, basketball and baseball since his freshman year. He is the

DePriest, who plans to graduate in January, is a solid student sporting a 3.3 GPA and an 18 on the ACT.
