That word best describes the high school career of Ben Mauk. The only way to put into perspective what the QB accomplished during his four years leading the Wildcats is to simply say that no high school football player in history anywhere in any state – including anyone in the Pro Football Hall of Fame – has done what Mauk did. Over the span of four seasons, Mauk set – and still owns – eight national high school football records. He’s No. 2 in eight categories as well. En route to leading Kenton to back-to-back state titles in 2001 and 2002, and winning Mr. Football his senior season, Mauk produced 19,628 total yards. He threw for 17,364 of it. Both are the country’s best tallies ever – by far. What else did Mauk do?
