Week 10 Nominees
*Jared Rettig, Millbury Lake: Sophomore QB accounted for 660 yards and eight TDs in a 63-42 win over Woodmore. Rettig completed 31-of-48 passes for 543 yards and six TDs and ran for 106 yards and two TDs. In eight games (he missed two due to injury), Rettig has thrown for 2,823 yards and 32 TDs.
*Ben Tobin, Fairfield Christian Academy: Junior RB had his third 400-yard game of the season when he went for 419 yards on 44 carries in a 54-47 win over Grove City Christian. Tobin, who scored five TDs, has over 2,800 yards on the season and has fumbled just twice on 300-plus carries.
*Brad Smith, Clyde: Senior RB rushed for a school record 403 yards and four TDs on 21 carries in a 74-6 win over Port Clinton. As a team Clyde had 688 yards, including 569 on the ground.
*Gabe Rice, Norwood: Senior RB saved his best for last by rushing for 325 yards and a TD on 27 carries in a 39-29 win over Western Brown that secured the Indians first league title (Southern Buckeye Conference American Division) since 1988. Rice also had a TD reception.
*Drew McArtor, Licking Valley: Senior RB scored five TDs and ran for 212 yards on 38 carries in a 48-34 win over Heath.
*Alfred Ramsby, Colerain: Senior QB ran for 290 yards and four TDs on 16 carries in a 48-29 win over Oak Hills.
*Tommy Iammarino, Chagrin Falls: Senior QB accounted for six TDs in a 56-16 win over Perry that captured the Tigers fourth consecutive Chagrin Valley Conference Chagrin Division championship. Iammarino completed 13-of-16 passes for 273 yards and four TDs and ran for two more scores.
*Kyle Nutter, Genoa: Senior RB/LB set the schools single-season rushing record by going over 2,000 yards with a 150-yard (one TD) performance in a 21-10 win over Eastwood. Nutter wrapped the regular season with 2,055 yards. On defense, Nutter had an interception, caused a fumble and returned a fumble 62-yards for a TD.
*George Bollas, Aurora: Senior QB accounted for 357 total yards and four TDs in a 48-20 win over Kenston. Bollas threw for 183 yards and two TDs and ran for 174 yards and two more scores.
*Jimmy Hessel, Avon Lake: WR/DB scored four TDs including two on returns in a 49-7 win over Amherst Steele. Hessel returned a punt 72 yards for a TD and returned an interception 96 yards for a score.
