It looks like as of right now, the weather looks to be good Friday night. A bit cold, but that's expected heading into November.

I have. St. Henry should have no problem running the ball against a weak run D in Ft. Loramie.

42-7 SH

I think Bradford- ML will be a better game.

I think Loramies loss to 4-6 Waynsfield-Goshen was kindoff a surprise. St. Henry should win this game hands down, but at times Loramie has played good. I guess it depends what Loramie team shows up. They also lost 28-0 to Minster, though that was the first game of the season. I will say 42-20 in favor of St. Henry.

I have never seen Fort Loramie play. I'm amazed as to how quickly they developed their football program as it is still very young.
From reading some of the previous posts, it seems they mostly like to run the ball? What kind of formation do they run out of offensively? Do they throw often?

It is about time for FL to really make noise in the postseason.
I think they get tripped up by a MAC team, but not St Henry as I look for Loramie to get past SH in thi sone.

I went to Minster's game against both. FL did not impress very much. They moved the ball some, but not enough when they would get close to the 20.
SH, and in particular, Stahl was very impressive. I had someone from SH tell me that was the best game in his career (at least up until that point).
SH is bigger, and has a much better QB. If FL gets down early, it will be a long night. If they can manage to keep withing a score, anything is possible.

I would expect SH to come out on top by at least 14-21. If rain somehow finds it's way into the forecast, it will be closer, but I am thinking something like 35-14.

I was surprised to see this is only the 2nd game SH has ever hosted. Good luck from your friends at NC!

Same here. I think the only explanation is that they take a few losses in the very tough MAC, finish 5-8 enough times, and get matched up against a team who had a better record with an easier schedule and get more points

Mainly because we spent so many years in region 20, which seems to be loaded with teams acquiring points via patsy schedules. We've beaten #1 seeds as the #8 seed twice in region 20. Both times, the #1 seed came from the same conference.

I agree with the majority that this looks like a St. Henry route. I'll say:

St. Henry 35
FL 7

The home playoff format did not start until the 1999 season, had that started in the early 1990's, St. Henry would have hosted several playoff games in the early and mid 1990's.

Since the home playoff format began in 1999, this will be the 5th time St. Henry has played in the post season. That was when the OHSAA established the 8 team playoff.

Here's St. Henry's first round opponent and tournament results since 1999.

1999 St. Henry (7-2) @ Versailles (8-2) in week 11.
Lost to Amanda Clearcreek in the D5 finals 35-20.

2004 #8 St. Henry (9-1) @ # 1 Marion Pleasant (10-0)
D5 State Champions.

2006 #6 Tri-County North (9-1) @ #3 St. Henry (9-1)
D5 State Champions.

2009 #8 St. Henry (7-3) @ #1 Richwood North Union (10-0)
Lost in the D5 regional finals.

2012 #5 Fort Loramie (8-2) @ #5 St. Henry (7-3) ?????????????

Is this assuming St. Henry knocks off Loramie and W-G pulls off the major upset over Ada?

S
That was a pretty typical Stahl night when St. Henry faced Minster. I would say he has put together several performances that were similar to the Minster game. He's a very talented football player, hence the reason he took over the starting QB job as a Freshman during the 2009 season and into the playoffs when his brother Brad was injured. He's a great athlete and has done great things in the passing game, running game and on defense.

Good luck to both Skins. Gotta agree that FL program is definitely on the right track for being so new, very impressive. How many teams from the Shelby County League have football?

Anna (playing in the MAC)
Fort Loramie (Northwest Central)
anybody else ?
