Can I ask a question? Where is all the heisman love for Collin Klein out of Kansas State? I've literally heard maybe one or two people mention in passing that he has an "outside shot" to go to NYC.
I know they play in the Big12, which, given the defenses we've seen this year of Baylor, West Virginia, Texas, and even OU to some degree, what he's doing is still pretty freaking impressive. As a Buckeye fan, I love that Braxton Miller is getting a lot of heisman love. But it's not like the Big10 defenses have been much more impressive this season, and Miller is on EVERYONE's heisman list, doing basically the same thing Klein is doing out in Manhattan, Kansas.
K-State has already beaten Oklahoma this season and moved into the top 5. Snyder's teams are always tough, and given the way they control the clock and play sound defense, they're probably going to be favored in every game the rest of the way. Given that thought, here are Klein's stats so far this year:
Passing- 79-118 (66.9%) for 1,074 yards, 7 TD's and 2 INT
Rushing- 98 attempts for 510 yards (5.2 ypc, 85.0 ypg) with 10 TD's.
This is just through six games. If you project that through 12 games you get 2,148 yards passing with 14 TD's and 4 INT's, with 1,020 yards rushing and 20 TD's.
This also comes on the heels of a junior season where he threw for 1,918 yards and 13 TD's (6 INT), and ran it...get this...317 times (yikes!) for 1,141 yards and 27...yes TWENTY SEVEN Touchdowns.

How is this kid not one of the clear first 3 or 4 players mentioned?
