Clinton Massie vs Miami Trace -
10-13-2012, 06:30 AM
It all comes down to this game for MT. When the new HC at MT came this was all that was talked about. Beating Massie! MT will more than likely go to the playoffs if they can beat them. We will finally see if the new MT HC can get MT over the hump and if he is truly a great coach. This is it, no excuses.
Who thinks MT takes it to Massie and wins this game?

Bear Bryant couldn't coach trace to beat Massie. I don't think they can keep Massie under 40. Not trying to be disrespectful but I have seen this thing that Massie calls a football team in action. This will most likely be the best team the trace has ever lined up against. IMHO but good luck to both teams

So you think MT cannot match up with Massie anywhere?
QB, RB, WR, OLINE, DLINE, LB, DB?
Massie is better at every position than MT?

I know how arrogant it sounds and I really don't mean for it to but I truly believe the answer to your question is yes.

armyman, have you witnessed Massie play this year? They are a team on a mission. I don't think the "Craddle of Coaches" could help Trace beat Massie. Trace has improved a lot from week 1 but not enough to derail the Freight Train from Clinton County. We might hold them to less than 60...

Seeing both of them play I don't really think it will be close. Massie should win by their usual spread of 40 or so. I do think Trace is better than Massie at QB. Throwing I think they are about equal, but the Trace QB is a better runner. Hope it is a good game for entertainment sake.

I couldn't disagree more with the above statement. The Trace kid may be slightly faster as far as top speed goes but overall the Massie QB is a better runner.

Trace is certainly on an upswing and Coach Bartelett will get them back into the elite level of the SCOL. But they are not there yet, and this particular Massie team is likely the best they have ever had and probably one of the top 3 or 4 teams in league history. Miami Trace will not embarrass themselves but they will not likely beat this Massie team. I would suggest a 20 point spread, with Massie in front. But keep the faith Trace fans, you have the right coach in place. Hopefully the commute to Fayette County will not be too much of a pain in the A$$ for him to remain there to build the program.

I'm guessing that Trace doesn't hold Massie within 50.

Maybe the real question should be who has the better band or fans?

I know Massie is one of the best teams in the state and all that good stuff. You are totally blind if you don't think anyone from Trace could play for Massie. I am not a Trace or Massie fan, but I'm at least realistic. This is why people hate SOME of you arrogant idiots.
No offense to most reasonable Massie fans.
There is no question Stroker or the Pettiford receiver could play on any team in this league. There are also a lot of other players in the league who are better than someone you have in the same position. You are telling me you wouldn't want Fisher from London, Lemieux or Davis from Plains or Morrow from EC playing for you, get real. I have not had a a single problem with anything a Massie fan has said all year until this. You are great we all know, but wake up.

I agree that Bartlett is a good coach and has Miami Trace improved. They still have a long way to go to compete with CM but he'll make them better.
As for this week, I see this as another huge win for CM. The Falcons have two weeks to prepare for their best opportunity to win state in many years. The path is there in R16.

We wouldn't mind having them, but Morrow wouldn't play on this team lemieux wouldn't be a star, fisher and stroker would compete for QB. So maybe they would play but couldn't just take someones spot like that.
