I found in this article:
http://highschoolsports.cleveland.co...d-berea-merge/
That once Bere and Midpark merge next year, there only going to be 7 teams in the Southwestern Conference for 2013 and 2014. No one doesn't look interested in the SWC. The SWC has only made several changes in so many years.
In 1986, Amherst replaced Medina. In 2005 Berea, Midpark, and Brecksville replaced Bay, Rocky River, and Fairview. Now no one has any interest in the SWC.
With rumors of which school wants to join are Avon Lake wants Avon to joi. But Avon turned it down so many times in the past few years and are a growing community, Avon from Div. V to Div. II( back to Div. III next year with a 7th division) in 15 years and could become a Div. I team in the near future. Amherst wants Midview to join because their like a rival between them. Brecksville want North Royalton because they their a neighborhood rival back when these two teams were in the Pioneer Conference.
Why teams like Lorain, Elyria, Midview, Avon, or a team that is Div. II or Div.I that is near Amherst, Avon Lake, Berea-Midpark(once they merge), Brecksville, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, and Westlake to join in the SWC?
There has got to be a team that will join before 2015. Some of these schools refuse to join but someone has to come into the SWC and make it an eight team conference again.
