Heard Granville got a new coach this year? Don't know much about him? How are they supposed to be this year?

Have they had an outstanding team since Bob Christian left?

New Coach is Adam Teeters who was assistant at Watterson. His father was Wally Teeters, long term coach at St. Charles. He has a teaching position in the building which was lacking with prior two coaches. Return three starters. Two seniors and one junior.

What are the thoughts on some of the players like Parsley for example? Also how'd they do when Christian was there?

Fraley should be their best player. If they have any talent outside they could do well. I think the league will be won by NC but Granville definately could get 2nd.

Don Christian was a very good coach his teams won several LCL titles in the late 60's through the middle 70's. He was also the coach at Newark Catholic for a couple of years in the middle 90's.

Looks like a solid season is ahead. Sounds like Teeters can really coach and really good hire by Granville.

Is Christian in a college program, somewhere? Or, is that a different Don Christian?

Don Christian is retired from teaching and coaching, lives in Granville. Ohio University hired a Jim Christian who was once at Kent state and recently at TCU. No relation.

Look for a big improvement from the Aces. They have size and some talent but the biggest improvement will be in the coaching . I say that with almost no knowledge about the new coach. In all the years of watching HS basketball I've never seen a coach put less effort in to his job. One example of many is not using all of his summer days , most coaches use all of them plus have assistants stretch a few more days in there. The previous coach didn't even bother to show up at the few open gyms that were scheduled. I think the Aces have shot at 15 wins if things break right.

If the team is improved they could do better th an that. Other than NC most of the top teams will be a little depleted. The teams that are improved are not enough to overtake Granville if they are better.
