The COBYWA (Central Ohio Buckeye Youth Wrestling Association) league are looking for new teams and members for the up coming 2012 and 2013 youth wrestling season.The COBYWA is currently at 17 teams (Bellefontaine,Ben Logan,Indian Lake,Jonathon Alder,Kenton Ridge,London,Madison Plains,Mechanicsburg,Northeastern,Southeastern,Tri ad,Urbana,Washington Court House,Westfall,Westland,West Jefferson,West Liberty).There will be 8 additional teams joining at the Oct. 14th meeting,with 2 additional teams interested but undecided at this time.By adding addional teams it gives the league the best posible wrestling, while keeping the teams from traveling long distances.
Wrestlers are paired in 4 man,round robin pools for the regular season meets based on age,weight, and experience, allowing for wrestlers of all skill levels to partcipate on an equal playing field.The composition of wrestlers within COBYWA runs from the begginer level to immediate to highly advanced.Tournaments will start the 1st Sunday in Jan. and will run each Sunday for 5 weeks, with the 5th week being the league championship.
The costs of the league is only $5.00 which covers all league tournaments.No admission is charged at the tournaments for family or spectators.There is a one time charge of $15.00 which covers the OHIOWAY Insurance.The insurance is good for all OHIOWAY events throughout the state for the year.
