Week 8: Dayton and Surrounding Area: Franklin (6-1) @ Eaton (5-2)

Franklin (6-1) @ Eaton (5-2)

This is a big matchup in the SW Division of the SWBL. Both teams have hopes for a league championship and playoff berths. Franklin is the front runner for the SW Division along with Brookville. The Wildcats need all the points they can get for R8. Franklin is led by their QB, Kinnard. Eaton is in the middle of a rebuilding season but is hanging around. The Eagles had a nice win over Bellbrook, 7-6 last week. What are your thoughts on this game?

I think this could be one heckuva game if Eaton can get pressure on Kennard.Eatons 2 D ends need to continue to play at the high level that they have been.Eaton will be playing with a lot of emotion and have to sustain that emotion to stay in the game. I think this game will have play-off atmosphere for sure.Looking forward to a hard-hitting injury free game!!!

What are the chances Eaton can make the Top 8 in R12 if they win out? Obviously a loss to Franklin would all but eliminate them from the playoffs. I wasn't sure if a win here would be enough or not.

You know I love my Eagles, but I just don't think it is in the cards this year. The offense has to play at a much higher level than it is playing at right now. the defense is playing balls to the wall and it will probably take just a little more than that. I won't be here to root on the Purple and Gold but I wish them all the luck and remind them that anything can happen, that is why they play the game

eaton7911, What are your thoughts on Bellbrook vs. Brookville? You've played both, similar games.

Eaton's offensive output will not be able to keep up with Franklin's. I think Franklin wins and knocks out any Eagle playoff hopes... Then again- this is the second to last Park Field contest!!!?! Good luck to both teams.
