Default Best players yor never heard of... - 10-04-2012, 09:15 AM

What players have impressed you that you didn't know coming into the season? I don't care if you mention some of your teams own players.

Some of the players that have impressed me from Marlington are Dan Krumpko. I think a lot of people may have heard about Krumpko but I didn't.

Niles receivers #2 Marcus Hill, #10 Chris Parry and #11 John Cicero. I'm thinking of the receivers who gashed Poland.

Struthers #9 Vince Fandozzi and #11. Sorry I can't remember or find his name.

I'm biased but I am really impressed with Catholic Central's Zack Herrington. The kid is like SpiderMan...catches everything thrown even close to him. Very impressed.

Number 11 for struthers is Anthony lariccia. He is a senior and I believe it's his first year ever playing high school football not sure if he played at the junior high level at all.

Poland's passing game has been somewhat limited but Anthony Marchionda is someone that I'm sure every team we play is aware of. He has only 26 catches but for 433 yards. I don't think we have any other receiver with more than 6. Most of his yards are after the catch.

Nick Holley from Whitmer. The kid has been in total command of the offense since game one. Last week he had 320+ yards on 16 carries. But I think he has a big future at Defensive back. Can you imagine what that offense would have been like last year if he played QB?

Jr. RB #11 Elijah Todd for the Springfield Blue Devils is the best in school history and in the NLL with 1415 yrds rushing, over 225 carries, 15 TDs; all accomplished with a weak offensive line.
