Both teams are pretty banged up. I'd probably go with TV.

When was the last time the Aces lost three staright conference games? This could be a fourth. If they can right the ship they still have a great shot at making the playoffs. I don't see it happening though, at least not this week. I do think it will be a close game.

The Aces are fighting the injury bug for sure this year, it's taking it's toll but we must drive on. Also, I know a few kids have gotten Strep in the past couple of weeks, seems like this happens every year at this time.. coaches keep the locker rooms disinfected please... I think this will be a close one if the Aces offense can move the ball like they did last week.

I think the ACES have a very good shot at winning this one since it is at home. Playing in the PIT is always a factor. This is the point in the season when the remaining healthy AC seniors need to step up and be leaders. Brown, Brumfield, Mets, Reid and Bennett have to take this team on their shoulders and make it happen. Be leaders, be strong and play hard. Your actions will determine the outcome of this game and the rest of your senior season. Only you can determine how this chapter ends gentlemen.
Play hard, have fun and stay healthy.

[quote=aces_for_life;5377956] Playing in the PIT is always a factor.
It was a real factor during the Circleville, Canal Winchester (last two trips there), Ironton and Hartley. This isn't the Amanda-Clearcreek of yester-year. The 'Pit' holds NO fear for any team, any more. I wish it wasn't true, BUT....it is. The players (most) don't even know the tradition of the team. Sad.

Creeksider, I think you must not be very close to the program and you definitely don't know these kids. Do you realize these kids have played in the AC system since they were in second grade? And that many of the seniors on this team had older brothers that played on very successful teams in the program for which they had a front row seat? The biggest issue I see with where things are right now is "insiders" like you tearing the program down. You need to be part of the solution and help pump this team up, not part of the problem and tearing it apart. So use your mothers advice and not say anything if you can't say something nice because I'm tired of reading your ignorant posts.

For the most part I agree, I don't want to speak for Creeksider but I think this is pointed more towards the coaching staff pushing the tradition and keeping it fresh in kids' minds. Take a moment and think about this, I am not sure any of the current coaches were coaching at the High School level especially at Amanda when we won our 2 championships. I know for a fact that these boys know and remember the tradition that Amanda has created the past 25 - 30 years, I just don't know ho much they are reminded about it and how much of an emphasis is put on it like it probably would have been if Coach Hinton & arndt were still there since it was their program they built. So nothing personal against current coaching staff, they just don't have the same ownership of the "Tradition" I would guess.
But I agree, these seniors don't need to go far to be reminded of it, whether in the stands or hallways of the school and locker room....It's there.
Good luck tonight Aces. I pray for an injury free game.

Bingo!! No one is tearing anything down. The tradition of this great program is being overlooked, and taken for granted for the most part........by the ADULTS in the program. The use of the tradition could be used as GREAT motivation, if used properly (if at all). If it was being used properly, do you think there would be more than 40 kids on the sidelines? Insider, yep....that's me! (many hours each week). What you call ignorant, I call the truth.

Maybe if the banners got fixed things would have been different tonight. Its time for CreekInsider to come on here and boo his team and bash the program.

We have tradition. We know our tradition. Our coaches tell us over and over again about tradition. Amanda is just having a down year. It has nothing to do w the tradition aspect. So Creeksider idk why you keep talking about lack of tradition. Do you listen in on the coach when he's talking? No you don't so before you start saying tradition is fading away you need to learn the facts on what is actually going on.

I just have to say that Coach Olney and his coaching staff do an outstanding job. People that are not around him have no idea how much time and dedication he puts into this program. This staff deserves nothing but praise. I wonder how many teams in the msl have no athletic trainer and only 3 paid coaches in the high school? Probably none. We've also had a pretty high pay to play in recent years. It's easy to forget these things. Also, this same coaching staff just won an msl title last season and have been to the playoffs in each of the last 3 years. Not bad.

Agree 100%. Amanda has a top-notch coaching staff. I haven't seen where anyone denies the quality of their coaching. There is only ONE coach in the high school.

As I say, coaches don't forget how to coach from one season to the next. A-C has a very good staff. It's just a tough year with a very small roster by A-C standards. Hopefully that pay-to-play continues to come down and they can get the numbers back up.
