Default Vote Now & Here for the Week 6 Ohio National Guard JJHuddle Ohio Football Team of the Week - 10-01-2012, 10:55 AM

You vote, you decide...who had Ohio's best Team performance in Week 4? Find out who the nominees for the Ohio National Guard JJHuddle Ohio Football Team of the Week are here and how to pick the winner. The choices are impressive...

VOTING ENDS AT NOON ON THURSDAY

Week 6 Nominees

*Ontario
The Warriors snapped Bucyrus Wynford’s 63-game regular season unbeaten streak with a 26-7 win. Wynford’s last regular season loss was against Sycamore Mohawk, 28-7, on Sept. 1 2006. The loss also snapped an eight-year North Central Conference unbeaten streak dating back to a 14-13 loss to Lucas on Sept. 24, 2004.

*Pickerington North
The Panthers recorded their first win ever (in six tries) over archrival Pickerington Central and they did it in fashion – 37-0 at Central. Senior QB Mason Olszewski led the charge by completing 18-of-28 passes for 273 yards and three TDs. He also had an interception as a DB.

*Clinton-Massie
The Falcons made homecoming a memorable one. Playing their first game since finding out that 2011 graduate and former Falcon QB Jake Richardson passed away, Massie beat Hillsboro 77-6. Richardson wore No. 7. “No. 7 was on everybody’s mind. The kids had 7s on each cheek. It’s crazy it turned out to be 77,” Massie head coach Dan McSurley told the Wilmington News Journal. “We don’t want to embarrass or disrespect anyone, but when we got that close at the end, it was something we wanted to do in memory of Jake.” The undefeated Falcons (6-0) have outscored their opponents this season 336-27.

*Columbus Hartley
The Hawks won one for the ages by beating Watterson 28-14 in the teams’ first meeting since 1996. The victory was just the fourth ever in 35 tries for Hartley against the Eagles. Senior RBH Ju’Wuan Woodley rushed for 134 yards and a TD, had an interception and threw a 71-yard halfback pass on the Hawks first play from scrimmage. Twice in the first half Hartley stopped Watterson drives at the 1-yardline.

*Coldwater
The Cavs beat archrival St. Henry for the 17th consecutive time dating back to 1997. Coldwater – playing without its leading rusher (Jordan Chapin/hamstring) and losing its leading receiver (Caleb Seifring/ankle) in the first quarter – was led by senior QB Austin Bruns who threw for two TDs and ran for two more. St. Henry mustered just nine first downs and 102 total yards.

*Dayton Northridge
The Polar Bears snapped a 21-game losing streak with a 34-26 win over Preble Shawnee. QB Brandon Spencer threw three TDs, while Ivan King caught a TD pass and returned a kickoff 70 yards for another TD.

*Columbus DeSales
The Stallions won their 36th straight game against rival Columbus St. Charles 28-16. RB J.T. Blumbauch led DeSales with 115 yards rushing and two TDs. St. Charles last beat DeSales 14-6 in 1976.

*Norwalk
The Truckers had their first winning season (7-3) since 1977 last year and improved to 6-0 this season with a 49-7 win at Shelby – their first there since 1988. The win is also Norwalk's largest margin of victory over the Whippets in Shelby in the modern era. WR Jordan Johnson accounted for three TDs three different ways (passing, receiving and rushing).

*Dublin Scioto
The Irish, who finished 2-8 last year, improved to 5-1 and knocked off their second undefeated team in three weeks with a 42-35 win over Westerville South. Two weeks ago Scioto beat then-unbeaten Westerville Central 34-14. In between the Irish beat winless Westerville North 45-14.

*National Trail
After going 2-58 the last six years, the Trailblazers improved to 5-1 this season with a 43-0 win over Mississinawa Valley.

National Trail was 2-58 the last six years. They are 5-1. Enough said. Someone is actually going to question their level of comp? Looks like they're playing the same teams they always have.
