Huge game for both teams this Saturday night in Mentor. The loser of this game will be staying home week 11. LC is coming off a 27-20 victory over Hoban last night in Akron. Benedictine lost to NDCL 44-7 this afternoon in Bedford.

Lake Catholic and Benedictine have played 20 times with LC holding a 13-7 advantage in the series. LC defeated Benedictine 30-6 last year in Bedford week 6. Lake also beat Benedictine 46-20 in the 1st round of the state playoffs last year in Mentor.

Kickoff is at 7:00 Saturday night at the JTO.

Thanks baked, Struthers, and unbiased...there has been many classic games between these two schools. Benedictine has struggled as of late as their last win against Lake was back in 2007. I do think that this is their best shot at beating LC since that last win in 2007. Hopefully, some of the injured will be returning sooner than expected.

Either way, it's put up or shut up as every game going forward is a playoff game for the Cougars, and it begins this Saturday night in Mentor against a dangerous Benedictine team.

The winner is still alive and the loser is done. It's that simple. If LC runs the table rest assured they will be in the playoffs. 6-4 and it doesn't look good.

You have to remember there are some teams ranked higher that will fall. There are a number of games Cougar fans should be keeping an eye this weekend...

No doubt the loser is toast. Neither team can afford a loss and neither team is getting much help from it's defeated opponents. Strongsville and Hoban probably won't win more than one more game and Mooney isn't exactly running the table from here on out.

They play a pretty tough schedule and and as I recall they may have a fair share of first time starters this year along with some injuries. Lake Catholic usually starts pulling it together in tough years to close out the season.
