Week 6: Lake Catholic (2-3) @ Archbishop Hoban (0-5)

Hoban has played a brutal schedule so far and is looking for their first win of the season. LC has struggled as well, but had a season saving win against Cardinal Mooney last Friday night. Should be a good one this Friday night in Akron.

Lake Catholic and Hoban have played 10 times with LC holding a 8-2 advantage in the series. LC won last year 28-6 in Mentor.

Kickoff is at 7:00 Friday night in Akron.

I think that this is going to be a pretty good game. Hoban has moved the ball in every game but one.

What type of offense does MLC run? Balanced? Air attack or mostly ground assault?

I'm going with MLC. They need this game if they want to make a drive for the playoffs. Hoban needs this game if they want to turn around their season. They can still do well in their league.

I don't remember that game. I just figured I'd give you something to talk about 'cause this isn't going to be a game, even if you have to start 7 jv players. After Fitch destroyed Brunswick I thought you were going to be way down, I was wrong. I'm thinking it's coming down to you and Chagrin Falls.

LC is coming off a huge win over Mooney. An enormous confidence builder. Congratulations on your win. Enjoy it and get back to business preparing for Hoban. Don't take them lightly and no big heads after the big win.....that is the key.

Thanks StruthersFan and you're right that LC can't take the Knights lightly. The Cougars can't afford a letdown and has to continue to play well for the final playoff push. Luckily for LC, region 9 is nothing like it has been the past couple of years. I think if LC continues to take care of business, 6-4 should squeak us in. Heck 7-3 and we might be playing in Mentor at the JTO week 11. The crazy thing is, if I would of said that 72 hours ago before the Mooney game, everyone, including myself, would of thought I was crazy. That's why this is the best sport in America and things can change so quickly.

Last week the Cougars got the train back on the track with a very impressive win against Mooney. This weeks game is just as big as last week. Every game is important now that we are in the second half of the season. Good luck to the Cougars go on the road and get this victory. Also try not to make it as close as last week...... Lchs's heart might not take two weeks in a row!
