Here is what we had...remember this is a Jr. High game but I'm curious. We were going for two on the extra point. Our QB was sacked around the 10 yard line but there was a facemask against the defense. The ball was placed on the five yard line for the retry because of half the distance penalty. So it actually penalized us in a way because we had to go from the five instead of half the distance from the 3.

Is this the right call? I have no idea but we didn't make it but still won the game.

Well it was a running play so the penalty is enforced from the end of the run. You got another chance to score, isn't that enough?

It's a running play. The foul occurred at the 10 where the QB was sacked. Half the distance to the goal places the ball at the 5 for the replay.

Had he thrown the ball and been facemasked while the pass was in the air, then the enforcement would be from the 3, resulting in a replay from the 1 1/2.
