Not being allowed to schedule Canadian teams will hurt schools like Steubenville that have difficulty in putting a full schedule together. I think we should be permitted to sign up Canadian teams. What do the rest of you think?

As long as it doesn't count (no playoff points) I think it is fine to play them. Some schools chose to play teams like Western Reserve Academy that don't count in OHSAA standings (points).

I think it is a good experience for the kids of both schools. However you get too many cheap points. We just beat a Div. I school before the end of the 1st quarter. They are expected to be a top Canadian teams so we will get plenty of secondary points if I understand correctly.

I wish they could come and play jv teams. That way they still get the cultural benefits.

Maybe if the Big Red would agree to go on the road more than twice a season it might be easier to schedule games in Ohio.

I don't see it hurting many programs, if any at all.

Is this something being considered or a new rule?

Let's not blast the Big Red though. How many other Ohio teams have played teams from Canada eh?

There should be a limit of the number of out of state teams you play as well. I wouldn't cancel that out.

Schedule them all you want... it's not illegal or against the rules.... heck... you might never lose again!

(just don't expect to be in the playoffs ever again either)

i don't like steubenville playing canada teams either but i don't see teams banging on there door wanting to play them. i would like to see them play more ohio teams. why would they play mooney when they would see them in the playoffs and there schedule is already tough enough. so why would they want to play steubenville. not saying that i wouldn't like to see it because i would..

Big Red wants 7 to 8 home games a year. This may have something to do with Ohio teams not banging on the door.
