VOTING ENDS AT NOON ON THURSDAY

Week 2 Nominees

Chillicothe Huntington
The Huntsmen snapped a 37-game losing streak and did it convincingly – with a 56-6 win over Manchester. QB Brice Vickers led the charge by running for three TDs and throwing for another. Huntington scored 34 points in the first quarter.

Dayton Thurgood Marshall
The Cougars racked up 701 yards of offense, including 647 yards rushing on 50 attempts (12.9 yards per carry) in a 69-10 win over Chaminade Julienne. Denzel Norvell carried the ball 20 times for 286 yards and six TDs, while Vayant Copeland had 191 yards and two TDs on nine carries.

Springboro
The Panthers recorded what many consider the “Biggest Win” in program history with a 42-32 victory at tradition-rich Centerville. The Panthers were led by senior QB Jack Schaaf who completed 17-of-30 passes for 265 yards and two TDs and ran for 127 yards and two TDs on 15 carries. Boro has been to the playoffs before, but hasn’t been since bumping up to Division I in 2006.

Bryan
The Golden Bears played the program’s 1,000th game on Friday and notched their 300th Northwest Ohio Athletic League victory with a 56-14 win over Archbold. Bryan’s overall record is 513-443-45. Its NWOAL record is 300-237-16.

Trotwood-Madison
The Rams almost tossed what is the equivalent of a perfect game in a 63-0 shutout of Dayton Dunbar. Trotwood scored TDs rushing, receiving, on special teams (punt return) and on defense (fumble return). They also had a safety. Dunbar had 13 yards of offense and of the game’s 80 plays – only two were snapped on Trotwood’s side of the field.

Bucyrus Wynford
The Royals extended the state's longest regular season win streak to 60 games with a 34-13 win over Sycamore Mohawk.

Beavercreek
The Beavers crushed neighborhood rival Carroll 63-0 to record the most lopsided victory in the history of the schools’ heated series. Creek’s point total was also it’s most in 25 years. The Beavers racked up 411 yards of offense and allowed just 45. Junior RB/LB Arius Moore ran for three TDs and scored another on a fumble return. He also forced a fumble, had an interception and added eight tackles.

National Trail
The Blazers are back. National Trail beat Twin Valley South 28-12 to move to 2-0. The Blazers have already matched their win total from the last six years (2-58).

Dixie
The Greyhounds, who have had just one winning season since 1983, beat Germantown Valley View for the first time since 1985 (27 years) and did it convincingly 45-27. Senior QB Luke Bowling threw for 250 yards and three TDs and ran for 110 yards. He also intercepted three passes and returned one for a TD.

Hiliard Darby
Darby snapped a four-game losing streak to rival Hilliard Davidson with a 17-3 win over the Wildcats. Darby had been shutout by Davidson the last three years.
