The Cougars will make the 1 hour trip south down 71 to take on the Brunswick Blue Devils this Friday night. LC is coming off a 49-21 victory over Strongsville this past Thursday. Brunswick dismantled our North Coast League friends the Padua Bruins 42-7 last Friday in Parma. I'm not too familiar with this years Brunswick team, but I was told they've exceptional speed at the skilled positions. I think LC will have the size advantage up front, but none the less this should be a very fun game to watch this Friday evening. Another interesting storyline with this game...Mike Gibbons, son of defensive coach for LC John Gibbons, coaches the defense over at Brunswick. Mike was part of the Cougar 2001 State Championship Team. So it will be father vs. son this Friday evening.

This will be the first ever meeting between these two schools.

Kickoff is at 7:00 Friday night at Brunswick High School.

The Lake Catholic - Brunswick game will be the Time Warner game of the week in Northeast Ohio. The game will air on tape delay Friday night at 11:00.

Its week 2 and the second stop for the Cougars on the Magical Tour. Another tough game in the gaunlet of a schedule LC has this year. Good luck and keep the train rolling!

Prayers go out to Kaz Struna who suffered a broken leg against Strongsville. Kaz is a junior and a two way starter this season for the Cougars. Ironically, he broke the same leg last season as well.
