Default Fredericktown (1-0) v. Bishop Ready (1-0) - 08-25-2012, 11:23 PM

Bishop Ready kicked off the Cutler era with new uniforms and made a statement by defeating Newark Catholic on White Field, 34-20. Yoho at QB, Akili at RB, and Culbertson at WR were on their game all night coming up with plays when needed. If Ready defeats the Freddies, they have 2 neighborhood rivalries in the ensuing weeks with Briggs and Grove City Christian. Fredericktown edged Sparta Highland by 4 points, 36-32. The Freddies return a lethal senior RB but that's about all I know of them this season.

Game is at Franklin Heights, Friday night at 7:30. Only time Ready will play at Heights this season.

I hope the line can give the same protection as last week. Yoho had plenty of time to find Culbertson through the air. If Ready can tackle on Friday night, I see a win for the Silver Knights over a down Fredericktown team. Perfect opportunity to get some momentum.

The Freddies would provide good points as well. The final score looks like Sparta gave them all they could handle and I hope Ready is a more well rounded team than Sparta Highland.

I was listening to the call in show on 93.7 and heard where three of F-Town's better players did not come out for football this season.

Add to the fact that I saw Ready use three weapons on offense to beat Newark Catholic and that leads me to believe the Silver Knights win this one.

Having seen Hartley scrimmage Highland and put up 42 in one half on them, there is no doubt in my mind that Ready is much better than that team, especially seeing how they handled Newark Catholic. I'll take the Silver Knights by 21.

Last year Ready KILLED Fredericktown JV something like 42-0 and these are two teams that are basically last years JV's team, having lost a lot of seniors. Fredericktown also lost their All-Ohio running back Matt Smith who I guess just decided not to come out. Two other players also but I'm not sure who they are. Ready should roll over a far less superior Freddies team. Go Knights!

Didn't realize the RB didn't come out this season. Yikes... Ready looked like they had a high powered offense last week. If the Freddies don't have the horses to keep up with the Knights, this one could get ugly.

Go Knights!
