Another solid test for WJ, wish we had these two on regular season schedule!!! Need to improve this week, nothing like Friday night atmosphere to get the blood pumping.

I agree with C-Ville!

But, the wj DB's are going to have to do a better job or they are going to get ate up this season.
The front 4 of wj put a lot of heat on the LE qb last week but when they had time to throw it seemed like LE had wr's open.

The wj db's have been getting beat on the first move and they have been giving the receiver the inside if they want it instead of forcing him to the outside out of bounds or down the sideline so that the db has the edge.
Guys, you have 5 yards to beat the dude up if you want!
Knock him off his pattern or just knock him on his a@#.

Williamson for Westfall will find the open receivers using his legs to get him out of trouble or he can just pull the ball down and get away for a big gain.
It should be a real good test for wj tomorrow night, the weather will be great almost like the end of Sept. and no rain.

Great weather for mid august, pretty daggone good football as well. I will give the defense a B+, db's stepped it up after a soft start, decent pressure on QB, and run defense o.k. Give the offense a C+, still lack consistency, Casto having to leave the pocket too much, running game still needs work, receivers did seem to do better holding onto ball. Scrimmage is still scrimmage with both teams using limited plays, but solid effort. Speaking of effort, the freshman roughriders were abusing players with highlight hits every 4-5 plays. Great effort that will pay off in the years to come!!!

Well said Ville!

The Freshman once again proved that wj football isn't going anywhere!

Both qb's tonight showed off how great and accurate of an arm they have.
Casto & Williamson both threw nice td passes.
Seth did make some good reads tonight and especially on the long td run.
The offense has to give him a little more time to throw the ball but a couple of times it looked liked he pulled the ball down early and took off.
Sometimes it paid off rather well though!
And yes, the running game has to improve, I know they only ran a limited # of plays.
The defense did a pretty good job tonight but still needs some work in the db area but there is time to fix any issues still going on.

But, I think that WF will have a good season and that was a good test for us tonight.

nice pics roughrider i thought it would have been closer than that. we also need to clean up our mistakes as far as hanging on to the ball. i thought overall we looked pretty good but there is room to get better.

rider great pics, the one pic really shows how much bigger they were on the front line than we were, but we still held out own. Agree with you tazz on holding onto ball, then will change a game in a hurry against a good team. One more thing I will add is I would like to see more hats around the ball on defense and once getting to the ball lay on the punishment!!!
