2012 American Legion State Champion Post 283 will be holding tryouts on the following dates at Pickerington Central High School's varsity field:
Sunday, August 19 at 4:00
Saturday, August 25 at 11:00
Sunday, August 26 at 1:00
Wednesday, August 29 at 6:00

These tryouts are for the senior team, age 19 and under, to be eligible you must have been born in 1994 or later.

Our goal is to provide a very competitive baseball environment that will allow players to reach their goal of playing in college while earning a degree.

We pay all expenses when we travel for our players: hotels, meals, etc. our fees are very reasonable, cheap by most standards.

To date we have placed over 50 players on college rosters at all levels, including four division 1 signees this year. Come to our try out and see what we're all about, I think you'll like it.

Why dont you get players from your own damn town and quit your damn recruiting? Its teams like you and Beverly Lowell that goes all over the place to get the players who has killed legion ball. Thank yourself because in a few years legion ball wont even exist anymore.

Hostility is unnecessary. The post was about tryouts. Since you have personal feelings towards the Pickerington Post organization, I would recommend that you speak directly to the coaches rather than posting for all the masses to see.

kdtfm - sounds like you were affiliated with one of the teams that Pickerington Post 283 hung one of their 56 wins on this season. I can tell you firsthand that Coach Weber has not and will not get into the game of recruiting a 15, 16 or 17 year old kid like the travel teams do. He holds open tryouts for the kids in Post 283's area. He selects the best 18 kids and teaches them the right way to play the game of Baseball, as a Team.
