Fighting Scots Holiday Challenge

Ohio Valley University will be hosting a Junior High Christmas Tournament on December 28th and 29th. We are really looking to put together a nice tournament and we are hoping to generate some excitement at the junior high level locally.

The tournament will be played in a four-team bracket style with winners meeting winners and losers meeting losers in round two. There will be two brackets of four teams for each age group (7th and 8th). The schedule will be as follows:

Friday, December 28th

7th Grade Boys

11:15am - A vs. B
12:30pm - C vs. D
1:45pm - E vs. F
3:00pm - G vs. H

8th Grade Boys

4:15pm - A2 vs. B2
5:30pm - C2 vs. D2
6:45pm - E2 vs. F2
8:00pm - G2 vs. H2

Saturday, December 29th

7th Grade Boys

11:15am - Winners A/B vs. C/D
12:30pm - Losers A/B vs. C/D
1:45pm - Winners E/F vs. G/H
3:00pm - Losers E/F vs. G/H

8th Grade Boys

4:15pm - Winners A2/B2 vs. C2/D2
5:30pm - Losers A2/B2 vs. C2/D2
6:45pm - Winners E2/F2 vs. G2/H2
8:00pm - Losers E2/F2 vs. G2/H2

The games will be played following normal game play rules and will be officiated by licensed officials.

We will be accepting eight 7th grade teams and eight 8th grade teams that are going to be placed in one of the two sets of four-team brackets. We will also accept four teams that need just one game to play at 10:00am on either day (12/28 - 10:00 am - I vs. J ... 12/29 - 10:00am - K vs. L --- These could be either 7th or 8th grade teams, whichever we can get two of to fill the slot).

PLEASE NOTE: This tournament is filling fast ... I have not yet plugged any teams into the schedule above, but we are about half full for both 7th and 8th grade at this point.
