1. Ridgewood (tie)
1. Malvern (tie)
3. Garaway
4. East Canton
5. Newcomerstown
6. Sandy Valley
7. Strasburg
8. TCC
Malvern and Ridgewood makes playoffs. Ridgewood beat in first round, Malvern wins in round 1 and 2... Looses in regioal final.

That is a lot of faith in a Malvern team that graduated a ton of skill players. Certainly hope you are right, but it wont be easy. Correct on EC, they have another year before league entrance

Hopefully N-Town and S-Burg can shock the league this year by having great seasons.

Garaway should be the team to beat with Walter and the best skill set returning. The Wood should be solid on the lines but young at the skill positions. That game determines the league champion IMHO. The Wood has a very challenging non-league schedule again against what should be a very good Waynedale team, Ferry, and a very long trip to Liberty Center.

46 days til kickoff, hard to believe its that time again!!!! The IVC has graduated a ton of talent from this past season but also returns plenty!!! IMO, the WOOD/WAY/VERN will battle it out again this year, TCC/SANDY should be improved, STRASBURG hit the hardest by graduation, NCT low numbers may hurt. I'll go out on a limb and predict 3 will be playing in week 11 again from the IVC... Good Luck to all and an injury free 2012.. ROO...

I'm picking Garaway. Why not? It's July and if anyone says I picked them and it ends up being RW again or Malvern, I'll just deny I said it. If someone comes back to this thread and quotes it, I'll claim JLGhoops hacked into my computer and posted it.
I do like Walter as the best QB in the IVC and I think he will be the difference.

malvern did lose ball, tucci and a few lineman..... but the top 3 tacklers on defense return in weber, holmes, and johnson... tucci takes over at qb... he actually threw 19 td passes in jv games last year.. kapron will still be tough at wr and they also had a 6ft 3 inch reciever move in to the district that played for jackson in stark county last year.. will be interesting to see how it goes.. tough first 6 games for the vern with united local, berlin center wr and garaway and ridgewood.

Garaway is the team to beat this year without question. How well Malvern and Ridgewood reload this year will be the only thing standing in the Pirates way.Sounds like the Hornets have some new horses-any word on what Ridgewood has to fill skill spots lost lastyear to graduation?

RW has a program that doesn't rely on returning talent to win. They are developing players there to step in when it is time. That's how they have won the IVC or shared the last upteen years, and that's why if Garaway doesn't win it, the Generals will.

The league will depend on what kind of recruiting the vern did in the off season THE WAY is the favorite the WOOD will be lucky to be in the top four STASVEGUS will be alright they still have TIGER82 calling the shots behind the scene.

I hope Malvern's football recruiting is going better than Hiland's basketball recruiting. We got nothing so far despite offering 3 new butter churners, a serviceable hay baler, and possible dates with Amish widows.

I think that Garaway will be very good and hard to beat this year. As far as Malvern they should be good on defense and if Tucci lines the offense up right they may be good there as well, but he has to use his key players more instead of letting them sit back. I heard kid from Jackson never played, as far as other recruits there is none. Darn that dosen't give general anything to talk about this year. Poor Wood fans now what are they going to talk about?

Interesting stuff on the Hornets. It made me go to the friday night ohio site to check out their season stats.
Malvern scored 439 pts (36.6 ave), gave up 186 pts (15.5 ave)
As far as using key players more, I checked that out as well:
QB Shawn Ball (key player #1) threw for 2,486 yds, ran for 1,312 yds, and combined for 47 TD's rushing and passing
WR Travis Tucci (key player #2) caught 63 passes for 1,023 yds, 10 TD's
WR Max Kapron (key player #3) caught 44 passes or 935 yds, 8 TD's
I didn't see the Hornets "key players" sitting back too much! What am I missing here?
