Drama. :)

we'll raise taxes, cut the military, and everything will fall neatly in place. -

i was expecting you to reply to his piece, which you have failed to do. instead you attacked the messenger and hijacked my thread.
i'd be banned for that, but i want you to have a nice day just the same.

my point is uncontested or so it seems. GOP obstruction sabotaged our job growth.

you, on the other hand, did exactly what i thought you would do. it's the only thing you ever do, and you have predictably done it again.

Do you ever stop crying about that? Sweet Jesus bro, man up and move on already.
The piece isn't worth responding to. As I stated, it's a film editor from thinkprogress.org tearing his rotator cuff reaching to connect dots in a borderline pathetic way.
You should delete this puppy and just start over. I'm the only thing saving it from the crapper at this point.

nope. no mention of any of the content, just an attack on the messenger--plus the comment that it wasn't worth commenting on. meanwhile you are on comment, like, five. and still, no comment on the content.
you are here to obstruct a legitimate conversation before it ever gets off the ground.

I will address the merits of the post, but please remember these just my thoughts:
1. Filibustering the American Jobs Act.-- typical of this President is his "my way / highway" approach. The Republican House sent 10 - 12 jobs bills to the Senate that Harry refuses to bring up for a vote. In other words, do it my way (with big stimulus 2) or I won't let you do anything.
2. Stonewalling monetary stimulus. -- we did the stimulus thing and it failed, and produced no jobs but plenty of debt. That's right, no permanent jobs. So, rather than re-do a failed stimulus, let's try some real job creation.
3. Threatening a debt default. -- right thing. Frankly, wasn't the "threat" equally R and D's fault? You folks wouldn't give in to cut spending and the R's freshman wouldn't give in to an unregulated / uncut raise.
4. Cutting discretionary spending in the debt ceiling deal.-- we are in debt up to our eyeballs. You have to cut discretionary spending. All this spending has produced no long term jobs, only short term stop gap job-propping-up. These are systemic problems, let's try to fix them rather than badaid them.
5. Cutting discretionary spending in the budget deal..-- we are in debt up to our eyeballs. You have to cut discretionary spending. All this spending has produced no long term jobs, only short term stop gap job-propping-up. These are systemic problems, let's try to fix them rather than badaid them. Frankly, we have to cut non-discretionary spending - and we can only do that by system changes.
I don't know this guy. It seems to me that this just pushes the failed Obama policies that got us into the ditch in the first place. Fool me once.....

......is easy.Big government is only a problem when Republicans aren't in power.Note-Bush's deficits were way out of line.Reagan ran them up to the hilt also [ but his deficits were "good" because the economy came roaring back ] The economy was in a mire during the Ford years." My way or the highway" is a strategy employed by our Speaker of the House also, not exclusive to either party and why nothings getting achieved.Stimulus spending was STARTED by Republicans...and had the money been returned to the public from wence it came instead of the banks.....Republicans have no better idea on how to run this economy or they would have vented their plans without Obama. He's not an unmovable force,he's an excuse/punching bag for those NOT in power.

C'mon OAB, you know better than that. Big government is always a problem and, yes, we complained about Bush's deficits and (at least i did) about Reagan's deficits. Remember, though, Reagan's deficits were largely b/c the D congress LIED to Reagan and had promised that they'd cut spending, which they didn't do. Keep in mind though, that The One has massively increased the size of government, spending and the deficit. So, he's way out on a limb all alone.
