Homeland Security Report Lists ‘Liberty Lovers’ As Terrorists

Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority, reverent of individual liberty” is **deemed a domestic **threat? **Absolutely mind boggling. ** I would be willing to bet that these panels are made up of Progressives and Liberals. This is madness. Our founding fathers would be on the top of this list, rounded up and thrown behind bars if this misfit organization had its way. One of the first things we should demand when we get some real leaders in Washington is a complete review of the DHS. It, like Obama, has lost its ever loving mind and is making itself hated and feared by the people. Maybe that is its intent but all it is really doing is making us focus on what a really dangerous thing it has morphed into to our freedom and liberty – in just a short number of years. There is going to have to be some accountability and house cleaning in that organization when sanity reigns again.

Perhaps you need a history lesson, perhaps not. You do realize that EVERY government considers any and every group of "rebels" to be terrorists and guilty of treason, don't you? Our founding fathers would all have been hanged, drawn and quartered had the American Revolution gone the other way. The version of "freedom" demanded by some people in the USA is anti-social, anti-government anarchy, and those of us who believe our nation is civilized are against that sort of philosophy. Those of you who believe that the strong should be free to take whatever they want from the weak favor that sort of "freedom", of course. Personally, I want my government to protect the weak and regulate the strong.

Wow. Anti-social is consistent with wanting small government, less taxes, less fiscal insanity and individual liberty? We are not anti-government, we are anti-big-government / nanny-state intrusion. We are about personal responsibility. Nobody wants to take anything from anybody -- it's you nanny-staters that want to take more from the earners to feed the governmental monstrosity. You want protected to continue your plunder of the contributing sector and for no other reason -- as we drive towards the cliff. It's sad, really, that you want to perpetuate the dependency. It's sad. Very sad. Never to breath a truly free breath of air as you willingly ******** on the public teet.

That report is a two-sided coin. One half claims personal possession of firearms are under attack but are like to attack the other sides opinions--which makes me wonder what they'd do with a gun, rather than a pen in hand. How does " the right " feel about drone planes flying over THIS country ? Is it really for security or invasion of privacy ? IF everyone in this country accepted personal responsibility to the utmost....there'd still be regimentation of government,an abundance of over zealous cops. The biggest problem with government is NOT radical thinking--it must still filter through our democratic educated system. The biggest problem with government,as in most countries,is nepotism.Get a public job---reinvest your earnings to splash your name everywhere, get a promotion, award your old job to a social contact or relative. This is why I didn't care for the SCOTUS ruling on money/politics.We were much better off allowing the working public to donate under the refund system....but the politicos said more more more. That is not a dem/republican thing. It is a flaw and a farce.

In other words, feudalism. What you describe is the essence of feudalism. And frankly, the more I study the two, the more I see capitalism as nothing more than feudalism renamed.

Abortion clinic doctors are simply assisting women in their basic legal right to choose whether or not to be baby incubators or not. Nothing they do is, or should be, illegal. The terrorists are those who try to blow up abortion clinics or kill doctors who perform abortions.

Thank you for that gem. In other words, yer looking for Robinhood.

Unfortunately, you haven't a clue what Washington, Madison, Jefferson, or Franklin intended to bequeath to us. Crack a book.

if it makes you feel better, than yes. we're looking for robin hood.

as for our founding fathers? if they were geniuses it wouldn't have taken them two shots to get the constitution right. the articles of confederation were a total joke. and if they thought they were unassailable geniuses they wouldn't have written in so many ways to alter the document over time.
