You are wrong that welfare recipients will now pay a premium. They will get a stipend or the penalty waived if the insurance premiums exceed 8% of family income even after including employer contributions and federal subsidies. Come on dude...they will not pay!

You are also wrong that the law will remove the argument that a raise isn't merited because health care ate it up. That will be true for the low income class...but what about the middle class. If they are NOW FORCED to have insurance and they get a stipend...how is the delta covered? They still need to pay when in the past it was their choice to say no. How are they going to save?

You are right...tax away baby. So how can we explain that are taxes are not being raised.

It is not about the color of the skin...it is about the Federal Government not having the power to order people to buy health insurance. The Federal Government does have the power to impose a tax so there you go. No action will be taken under the commerce clause. More taxes...so now lets blame it on the previous Presidents!

first that is where we are headed - single payer healthcare - this law as written is unsustainable and doesn't work private companies have and will continue to drop health insurance because the government will be taking care of it...

look at a lot of retailers and fast food/food establishments... there is no health care offered by them
more retired folks policies defer to medicaid/medicare
the end of insurance companies (good or bad) is just a short time off

which will leave us with single payer... which of course has failed in europe and is a huge reason for their problems and something they are trying to get out of

nothing like taking others failures and doubling down blindly!

lol... if you have a job and pay taxes... you have to not only worry about your own but everyone elses since YOU will be paying for everything and everyone working or not...

Second you might not worry about cost but what single payer DOES in every case it has been tried is mean you will have to worry about actually GETTING medical treatment...
need medical help?
good news - it's free!
bad news - you get the surgery in 6 and 1/2 years... but then you are too old by our charts so...

THAT is the best arguement you can come up with?
every conservative has given reasons why it's bad for our country, citizens and the health care industry and the best you can do is a racist tantrum?

It is THE largest tax increase in world history.

Europe is burning, and obama/pelosi/reid sold every American down the drain in following their path.

How many working women DO ? Is health care a privilige endowed upon the wealthy at a lesser [ or no ] rate ? The same can be said for the lower class.

o.a.b. in the word of Reagan "there you go again"... you start by attempting to defend this by calling Obama a liar (He STILL claims it was not a tax increase even though that is how his lawyers defended it to the supreme court and how it got through the court)... so if it is a tax o.a.b. YOU are calling Obama a liar

then of course you do the "blame bush" attempt to distract from the issue

Quakeroat is right... Obama is now on the hook for the largest tax increase on the working class in history!

All politicians are crooks! The voters should decide their pay, their health care & their retirement! Everyone is going to need health care some time in their life, why should they have to worry if they can pay the bill? If someone in your family got cancer, you shouldn't have to spend your retirement paying the hospital! tax everyone who is working! Free Healthcare for all! Let's catch up with the rest of the civilized world! JMO

I do not want to pay this tax, a tax, that would abort a fetus or have a doctor to kill a new born aka murder. This is against my Religion. Does our country have any morals left in the tank?

They did a poll of Doctors and what would happen if this passed. You better read how many are going to retire. So how are they going to replace that many Doctors? My friend in Canada came to Michigan just to get a gall bladder removed. Didn't want to wait 60 days. We are next.

Why do you think you're going to have to pay a new tax? Are you saying that you don't have -- and aren't going to have -- health insurance?

No. But you must be. Otherwise you would have known that if you have health insurance through work benefits or other means you will not be taxed. Only those who don't have insurance will pay a tax.
And you might have known that this tax is virtually unenforceable. The IRS has none of its normal powers to collect it. They can't even get a lien on property.

Have some more whine.
