The Steubenville bloggers have been very quiet this year. Whereas bloggers from other schools are talking about their quarterbacks and their running backs and their defensive backs and the schedule and the coaches and all sorts of other things, Big Red bloggers haven't been talking about much of anything.

I tried to start a thread about Big Red stories from the past. Nobody else contributed anything. When I ran out of stories, the thread died.

About a week ago I asked the question of who would replace Reno when he ultimately retired. Oh, I really got shot down for that. This is the last time I will mention it.

Are we afraid to talk about Big Red football for fear that opposing coaches will learn something about our team? I find that hard to believe. I doubt if the Woodrow Wilson or Bishop Timon coaches even know about ********** and jjhuddle, and the Benedictine and Brooke staffs will send scouts to check out our team.

Let's get some excitement going. Talk about the team. Talk about the new press box. Talk about the schedule. The season starts in two months. Let's have some action!

I think a lot of our fans left this site when it went pay to post and never came back.

As far as the team...if you watched Big Red over the years then you sort of know what to expect, so there isn't too much to talk about.

Going by last years roster...the Oline should be a strength as 4 of 5 return and the TE. Two receivers are back with others chomping at the bit to make their mark. At QB there is a senior and a sophomore. A handful of backs return. On defense there are about 8 who saw significant playing time last year. Kicker/Punter returns.

Finally some info thank you. Sounds great I never worry about running backs we always have a good horse in the stable.With a good returning o-line this should help. With the 2 QB what type player are they? What I mean is are the mobile speedy kids, pure passers things like that. I'm so pumped my Dad just brought me and my kids some Big Red things like a giant flag, a fathead logo, license plate cover so I'm ready to bad I don't get to see them in action until OCT 5th. I do know that Zach C. Was working with the soph last year he has great potential,remember he was forced to take a knee on the 1 yard line against Creek last year and on a extra point attempt.

Winner winner chicken dinner!!!! Paranoia reigns supreme. I'm actually kind of surprised how much actual info you do find on here. Schedules are about the only real info you get.

Before the pay thing scared everyone off, there was a lot more actual football ************** around here.

Now it's mostly old guys remembering the good old days, really bad comedy and people talking about a bad call that went against them in 1984.
