Default New Philadelphia Quakers 2012 - 06-22-2012, 10:20 PM

I have to admit I'm pretty excited about the upcoming season with the great talent coming back and Coach Dennison beefing up the schedule only makes it that much better for the Quakers to make some noise this year in the playoffs. Coach D and staff along with players good luck this season and very excited to watch it all unfold. GO QUAKERS.

Phila will play at least 5 caliber playoff teams....

Chandler Park, MI
West Branch
Northwest
Zanesville
Dover

Coshocton and Cambridge are unknowns with coaching changes and lots of talent graduated.

Barberton, John Glenn and Marietta fill out the rest of the schedule.

NP is playing for playoff points,it is obvious when you schedule a team from Michigan as your first game. D1 points and a big win is on NP's mind. That is a no brainer considering all of the teams right here in Ohio,Stark county teams you could play and actually challenge yourself. NP is the same old NP. Easy way out! No respect LOL!

Actually the Team from Michigan made the Playoffs in D-1 in Michigan. Do research before you tell us how u think Phila schedules cupcakes. Oh also Chandler Park is sending a Wide Receiver to Michigan Following next year on a full scholarship.

Good luck NP. I would love to see you guys go 9-1 and make a deep run in the playoffs. Don't worry about your cupcake schedule and just play hard football. This Dover fan will be cheering you on, at least nine of the ten weeks.

New Phila surprised a lot of people last year when they gave Tallmadge all they could handle last year. Last year, the offense struggled while New Phila had a great defense. If they can bring that same intensity on defense again and play a bit better on the offensive side of the ball, the could definitely make some noise in playoffs.

That team is Toledo Woodard, and they are still on the schedule, week 5 is a tough spot to fill and it had to be a home game to have 5 at home.

Woodard had good size and speed, but had no clue how to play the game properly. They were good sportsmen, never resorting to cheap shots and gave effort.

Woodard will be replaced by either Northwest or Toledo Waite next season. Both are solid programs.

This is going to be the best Phila team in 20 years. Mark this post. The Dover Phila game is going to be a good one, Dover like a thief in the night last year took the game away from Phila.

Good Luck New Phila!!!

Chandler park is about equal to a D3 of D4 school in Ohio. The only teams with an open date week 1 in Ohio willing to play at NP (Quakers needed a home game week 1) was Mooney or Ursuline...no thanks. Claymont was open week 1 but refused to play NP. Instead they picked up the Cleveland Knights which is a non-sanctioned OHSAA team. NP lucked out last year and got to play Wheeling Park in the Rally in the Valley which was a 1 year deal. A change at New Phila will not let them have these scheduling problems in the future.

Nope I didn't know that. I have other things in my life at the moment and haven't had a chance to seek out the schedule. No kids in school anymore so knowing when the season or school starts just isn't at the top of my list. I don't even know when I can pick up my tickets but now that I know the date of the first game I'll know when to watch NP website for the pick up dates. I will be in the stands when it counts. As a matter of fact if they started school in September and played football after labor day like they should I wouldn't have to worry about football in August.
