Default Coach Twiss Is Back! Named Liberty Union Head Coach - 06-05-2012, 06:41 PM

Congratulations to the Liberty Union Lions who named former Ladies head basketball coach Adam Twiss to the position. Coach Twiss is just what this talented team needs to get to the next level. I cant wait to follow LU this season and many seasons to come!

This selction was actually posted on the Coaching Openings thread on 5/28, but I assume it was just made official this week. Again...good luck to my friend Andre Agassi....think about it, they do look alike, don't they?

Does anyone know when Coach Twiss scheduled his shootouts? I want to make sure I follow the Lady Lions this summer.

I heard he is going to run an up-tempo game. Lots of running and gunning with a full court press. This is exactly the type of style that will dominate the MSL.

They already dominated it last year, didn't they?

Good luck to Coach Twiss and welcome to LU! The talent is definitely there. The jump to the MSL Buckeye will make "dominating the league" a very difficult task. The good news for the Lions is that they get one full season in Coach Twiss's program before making that move.

This was a great job to land!!! They are going to be very loaded for at least the next 5 years. It will be fun when they get into the Buckeye. Teays has some great teams coming. FU has some really nice kids. There should be some great battles. I would give LU the edge in the next couple of years.

Good luck to Coach Twiss. It will be nice to be coaching a program where the kids actually keep playing once they hit high school. Very different from CW.

Liberty Union got the seasoned veteran and proven winner they were looking for in Coach Twiss.

After talking to Coach Twiss it is obvious that it took a very special opportunity to bring him back into the game. The Lions are that opportunity.

After hearing how excited Coach Twiss is, and all the talent on the roster for him to work with, I would not be surprised to see the Lions at the Schott often in the next few years

Twists had talented teams at cw and did very little with them. He's a decent coach. Not a guy who suddenly makes a school a state title contender though. Not surprised to see ahm go crazy though. He's related or best friends with twiss or something.

Buck - what years did Twiss have talented teams at CW? I missed those years. Probably his best most talented team at CW was his last and Stokes blew her knee out when they were like 9-1. Once that happened they were never the same. He was left with Savage and Dexter and little perimeter skill to go with them.
Look how Burke has done at CW - like 8 wins in 2 years?

Twiss will be fine at LU.

well to me the definition of a great coach is when he gets the best out of what they have and does more with less. Sometimes they have great talent and sometimes they dont. Yet you never see the falloff. Just for clarification, i LOVE coach burke as a person. Never thought he was a "great" coach though. His winning seasons at fu were done with some extraordinary talent. I never said twiss is a terrible coach, but AHM always played this game when he was at CW. He bowed to him, made him something more then what he really is. The talent level at LU is def better then what hes had in the past. And he may very well do very well. BUT it wont change my opinion that AHM is way too in love with Twiss.
