Three sounds about right, but somehow people expect that Coach Meyer will go undefeated and return the Buckeyes instantaneously to championship levels. More power to him if he can but I think there will be a season or two where everyone is getting accustomed to the new regime and the league adjusts to the new sherrif in town.

Look at the schedule, I don't see how they could lose more than 2. the non-conference schedule is pathetic, they will win all 4 of those. the B1G schedule has the 2 toughest games in Columbus (Michigan and Nebraska) Michigan State and Wisconsin on the road could cause problems but neither have as good of a team as last season (both have to replace outstanding QBs). Ohio States defense is loaded especially the D-Line. the secondary some are saying is the best in the country (I doubt that) but they should be very good and with Shazier, Grant, and Sabino at LB barring injuries will be much better thanlast season. The Offense has Miller with a years experience and a system better suited to his skills, 4 outstanding RBs, Dunn, Smith, Hyde, and Hall, an outstanding TE in Stoneburner and some young but talented wideouts. The O-Line should be improved if for no other reason than Bohlman being gone and just being in better shape. With their schedule, they could go I think anywhere from 10-2 to 12-0 setting up next season (2013) as a seaon that could potentially be very special.

2-3. I will be disappointed if they lose more than 3.

No more than 2 losses, and a year away from being in the Nat Champ hunt again. Certainly will be one of the top 4 teams each of the next two years. It is probably a blessing in disguise that they can't be in the league title game or the bowls this year.

I am thinking at least 3, even though the Big Ten overall won't be that good. The people that think OSU will win everything just because Meyer is in there are delusional at best. He will need 2 to 3 years to get more of his recruits for his style of play in there first. Even then nothing is guaranteed.

Not just because Meyer is there, OSU is loaded on both sides of the ball, especially on defense. Meyer's more wide open offense will score more points than the last couple years and I do agree with you that he will need a couple more recruiting classes to get the players who are more suited to what he likes to do, but.... with this seasons nonconference schedule and the 2 toughest B1G opponents being at home (Michigan and Nebraska), I still think even with putting in a completely new offense, (much of the defense will remain the same just more agressive) that they should be no worse than 10-2 and have a chance to win them all.

10-2 (Worst Case) 12-0 Possible. The Cupboard is far from bare.....It is still OSU with Meyer leading the charge. Name me a team in the Big 10 with more talent or their Roster Top to bottom???
