Default Mid-Buckeye Conference Adds Three New Members - 05-03-2012, 08:09 PM

Sr Reports had this...

Mid-Buckeye Conference Adds Three New Members

the addition of Lucas, Mansfield Christian and Mansfield St. Peter’s for the 2013-14 school year.

...interesting 2 private independents finally in a conference, it can work when needed and isn't it interesting that it does

Who are the current members of the Mid-Buckeye Conference? Does Mansfield Christian play football? St. Pete isn't the sports power that it once was, these are 3 pretty weak additions to any league (but I admit I don't know who is in the League maybe they are a good fit)

MBC currently has Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Johnstown-Monroe, Loudonville, Northridge, and Utica.

Johnstown-Monroe, Northridge, and Utica are leaving for the revamped Licking County League in 2013 while at the same time, Centerburg and Fredericktown are going to the MOAC. East Knox will join them in 2014, so the MBC will have 6 members for one year and then drop down to 5.

MC and St. Pete's don't have football, which means the league probably will not have a football title to play for (Danville, Loudonville, and Lucas will be independents), but size-wise, this is a fairly good setup for the schools that got left hanging by the other MBC members (and in Lucas' case, the NCC). The commissioner also said they're going to consider adding more if they fit the mold.

Funny how the MBC kicked Worthington Christian out about ten years ago because they were private and now re forced to picked up not one, but two, privates.
