It would be good that more kids could experience being in the final 4 and winning a state championship albeit that the state championship would be even more watered down than it already is. My own opinion is 5 for football and 4 for basketball is enough, if you want to be a state champion BEAT SOMEONE, everyone nowdays wants to be a champ but few want to put in the work. It goes back to when you give everyone a trophy just for participating. To me that teaches a kid nothing except that I don't need to work hard, I'll get the same reward that the more hardworking kid (team) recieve anyway. If they wanted to actually help someone, the extra division should have been on the bottom not the top, once you go past 4-500 boys on up to 1200 what's the difference if youcan't find 5 or 11 kids who can play out of 500 you're not going to find them in 1000. It's coaching at that level not numbers. However, at the small end of the scale it's numbers, maybe put all the schools with less than 90 kids in a division. But that won't happen because that ain't where the money is.
