Thirty years ago, I did not once hear Reagan go on record and blame Jimmy Carter for screwing up the usa. Reagan did something about. Reagan you are a hero.

Reagan just blamed Liberals since the 60's, screwing up the Country, like they are doing now.

Reagan may have blamed the liberals, but he did something about it. Obama is taking this country farther and farther down. Obama needs replaced in November.

YOU ARE WRONG. HE RAN AGAINST A SITTING PRESIDENT AND HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME SLAMMING CARTER AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. IT WAS HIS PARTY PLATFORM.
HOW OLD WERE YOU IN 1980?

we'll raise taxes, cut the military, and everything will fall neatly in place. -

What Obama said is what any politician would say "nothing will get done before the election".

That is not what he said. He stated he would have more flexibility after the elections. That is very different than nothing gets done before the election.

he has no flexibility now. if he said yes you guys reflexively ALWAYS say no.
in january? he'll have a ton of flexibility. and if the supreme court over turns health care we will simply over turn filibusters and rewrite and repass a better bill--one with single payer.
OR
the whole law isn't over thrown, just the mandate, and that will kill all american health insurance carriers.
KEWL!
it seems that none of you guys REALLY thought much o this stuff through!

bewho, why sould the Government force people to buy Health Insurance, if they do not want it? It will only increase to cost of health-care.
I was at age 10 on Jan 2, 1980. I know the 80's all to well.

Right and wrong will not change from now to the election for intelligent, thoughtful people.
Some people regard freedom as the 'right' to do (or post) whatever they want.
I consider freedom the 'right' to do (or post) what is right.

the only time the USA defeated the Russians was in a Hockey game in 1980.
The Russians made fun of that peanut shell.
Name me one foreign policy win, that Carter achieved?

Ronald Reagan was one of the worst presidents in my lifetime, putting millions of people out of work with his voodoo "trickle down" economics. Most of them are still out of work 30 years later! How does that make him some sort of hero?

Ron Reagan---" Government isn't the answer, government is the problem" he said--as he continued double-dipping as retired governor of California. His actions set in place the new retirement rules we have for public employees. He was once UNION president of the screen actors guild but turned face when he saw how much more could be made under the table "serving the public".Whether you like him or not,I can say one thing--I'll never have as strained relationships with my son as he did wih his.[ At least Obama doesn't claim to be an actor turned politician ] If it weren't for the 65 + voters,Reagan never would have seen the White House. He's just ONE MORE CLASSIC EXAMPLE of the Republican theology-Do as I say,not as I do.

Let's be clear about what he meant, since a number of clarifications have been issued: What he meant was that after the election, he would have less Congressional opponents, and that it would be easier to get Congressional support for his foreign policy. Nothing else.

Easy. Rescue of the Iranian hostages. But, that didn't make him a great president, either. After Reagan, Carter is certainly the worst in my lifetime. But, Reagan's little role in defeating communism didn't do a damn thing to improve MY life as an American, while his economic policies made MY life harder in America. I would trade anything Reagan accomplished in foreign policy for a return to pre-Reagan tax levels and a more vibrant economy.

He NEVER caved in to the kidnapping of 465 hostages and eventually he got EVERY one of them back.Republicans would've said " Peons, let the chips fall where they may. Now's our chance to set up a puppet government and usurp the natural resources.Beats the H*ll out of buying them"--or ,they would've bombed the H out of the area, treating the hostages as cannon fodder.NBHS,you must have been all of 17 when Reagan was president.Washing dad's car on Saturday doesn't consitute a job.I've been laid off 3 times in my life--under Nixon, under Ford and under Reagan.Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee---what would those 3 have in common ? [ besides a 62 IQ ]

Are you pro-peace or anti-war ? Pro-Life or anti-abortion ? Only CONSERVATIVES dab paint on their view----like a whore and mascarra.
