Varsity got tired. They lost in the semi's to a team that the JV team beat.
Go figure. Varsity played 11 or 12 games. All in all good day no one got hurt and we got 4 DI offers-Bittersweet.

JS has been the best that we have seen in a long time. Thank god he is gone. Maumee was really good with him for (2) years. If you think Duby will be close to that production and efficiency than I am nervous. I am saying no way.

I heard Maumee got rocked in a 7 on 7 against Tiffin Columbian. . . I think its going to be a long year for the Panthers. They have several kids "coded" and several ("Big" Al Bryant being one of them) that just quit playing for one reason or another.

I heard maumee scored a lot today against Clay.

to answer ramrocks question, I know Duby started as the JV qb as a freshman for a few games before being injured in a varsity game. Then as a sophomore I believe he was the starting jv qb the entire season. Also I would like to point out Schneider only played qb 1 season as a freshman on the freshman team before becoming the varsity qb as a junior.

In reply to maumee being rocked at TC, Im not sure but I do know maumee is putting in a new defense this year so I expect them to struggle for a bit learning the concepts, offensively they should be alright this year, Ive heard a junior reciever has shown a lot of ability and will be able to bring focus away from King.

Lastly I dont like talking about specific players personal lives on here but the one player mentioned for "quitting" had good reason to and it had nothing to do with football or any trouble/grades so I think they should be left off this discussion board. I havent heard of any other players who were expected to play this season who quit, though a couple younger players are ineligible for one reason or another.

If anyone is basing anything off of how a team does at a 7 on 7 they are foolish.

As far as the discussing players personal lives I'm not so sure thats what TSG was intending to do. No one rallied for us to stop discussing the coding issue at AW a few years ago nor the Southview coding issue the 2 years prior. Like I stated high school boys are idiots.

Duby was the jv qb last year? Well you maybe putting to much faith in that. As for wiping the mat with clay at 7 on 7 that's a joke. Clay hasn't been good at pass defense in years nor have they thrown well in years. But congratulations on beating a trac doormat in a meaningless 7 on 7.

Duby did not play JV. He started at DB on the varsity last year.
