I would root for IU no matter what the circumstances. As for Izzo, I like the guy, clearly the best Coach in the Big Ten. Izzo takes not the greatest talent and developes them into great talent....Remember, Ohio State controlled their own destiny. Why root against a team that wants to win for the benefit on one that does not????????

I'm an IU fan, so I'm with you. IU will need to get Zeller off to a good start. I'm still not sold MSU is an elite team, they play that ugly smashmouth brand of Izzo ball and it's difficult to watch at times. He is very successful, however.

Best I have seen IU play Defense this year. The above post was right , it was Green playing 1 on 5. Rest of MSU didn't show up.

I think with Michigan STate, if you can get to the 60's 70's, you've got a good chance. They like to keep it in the 40's 50's and slug it out. That's why it was so critical for IU to get off to a good start and get the lead.

Although a great win, I'm really not sure anyone could put MSU in the top 5 in the country??? I think for the rankings, they sometimes feel that if you are in first place in the big ten, you deserve a high ranking. That's not a top 5 team.

Plus if IU is a 20, then something is wrong, when they beat ND and ND is ranked higher.. At least Jay Bilas had to eat crow, not ranking IU in the top 25 in his poll! Only Kansas and IU have beat three top 5 teams this year. Last time IU did it I was on campus. 75-76, the one loss year that Scott May broke his arm against the Purdue Pukes. This team next year could have that kind of talent with no starting Senors and a top class coming in.
