Archbold

Delta
Evergreen
Liberty Center

You always have to put Archbold and Patrick Henry toward the top of the list. I follow them with Wauseon, Bryan, and Delta. It's really too early to mention more than the ones who have been in the upper echelons in the past.

Any league schools currently in danger of losing sports due to a levy failure?

I hope not but it seems like that possibility is looming overhead more and more often in recent years. Can't seem to kill it for more than a few years at time.

You seem to have forgotten the defending league champs Lancer.
Did they lose a lot to graduation?

Delta in the upper echelons is fading into distant memory and that is not likely to change this season.

How many league schools will have new head coaches next season?

That's funny Lancer because 2nd to Patrick Henry no one has been in the upper echelon more than Liberty Center who failed to make your list of "the usuals" 2011 8-0 10 3-5 09 6-2 08 7-1 07 5-3 06 3-5 05 7-1 04 7-1

I'm a little biased but I can't see anyone beating PH in 2012. They have everyone back and will probably average 40 a game.

You are absolutely correct, rolly67. My apologies to the Tigers who have been league title competitors for years. Perhaps I was thinking basketball. Perhaps I'm just in need of stronger prescription drugs. It's really hard to be an antique!

One more good year for PH and then a real drop off. Amazing run, but athletes are starting to graduate with not a lot to replace.

PH played more Sophomores and Freshman then any year I can remember. So I think the next couple years will be good...depending on the levy outcome. Participation is down.

No sports cut but a $250 fee per sport ($175 Jr Hi)and $500 maximum. This will really cut down on the number of kids participating in all sports. Many kids will not go out if they feel they are not going to make varsity or are not going to see significant playing time. These are the types of kids who make successful programs as they stay with it and contribute as seniors. Unfortunately I think these kids will go by the wayside and sports as we know it at PH will not exist with 3-4 years.

No movement on a 10th team or reducing to 8 teams.

Did Archbold lose a lot of Sr. starters from last year's squad?

A fee to play is still better than being the programs being eliminated.

I wasn't expecting any movement on league membership was just wondering.
