Bonar is the real deal. Best high school female shooter I've seen in a while. Garaway wasn't flexible enough to adjust it's game plan when it needed to. Tigers toughened up on interior D.

Hopefully, some other girls can step up for Garaway next year. It takes more than 2--even if they're pretty good! Good season Pirates!

it was a hard played game by both teams.the refs didnt know an intentional foul.i guess throwing a player to the floor is ok,not playing the ball at all.garaway had their way around the bucket, bonars shooting saved the lady tigers.

Tiger - announcers said pretty much the same thing. They probably should have called it, particularly when there's been more focus placed on that this year. FWIW, I remember several years back at Pickerington when a certain D4 player of the year from SE Ohio literally body slammed our only freshman into the ground. And that was early in the game! Just a standard foul. Frosh was okay, but as she got picked up from the ground by one of the seniors, you could see her mouth, "Why'd she do that?!" It was priceless.

the game last night was to say the least very intense by both teams.the only ones that looked lost were the 3 officials.they called touch fouls, but body slams and tackling were fine.if we see these 3 again id request football attire be worn.

High-school referees are bad the sooner we accept that the better.

The game report in the Daily-Record states she has 89 3's for the the season. Is that for the 20 game season, or, including post season? That's NOT a state record? Hope she keeps it going so we can watch her in Columbus.

I would bet money on it. Other than Lowellville, it is sad.

Thanks for the vote of confidence pool man. If Lowellville makes it they wont be a walk over. Who ever wins that game is a good bet for State.

The last time I saw Lowellville they were a joke. But they could obviously be better this year. But Youngstown isn't usually a hotbed of D4 girls BB.

If you don't like Lowellville, try these powerhouses. East Canton sub-500, Akron, Our Lady of the Elms, Mapleton, Hartville Lake Christian Academy. Here are some possiblities with some name recognition. Cortland Maplewood, Kinsman Badger, Warren JFK, Windham, Western Reserve from Berlin Center, not to be confused with Berlin Hiland or Collins Western Reserve. Mogadore moved to D-3. Gnadenhutten winner is the clear favorite. But, things can happen.

Maybe the last time you saw them was when the seniors were freshman, the juniors were still in jr high and lost to what was probably the best hiland team to ever come out of that school?

It is really amazing. She shoots from the shoulder, and it would seem that opponents could get their hand up on that side and give her problems getting it off, but she has a knack for knowing how much space she needs and they do a good job running her off screens to get her space.
