Lisa has been around the volleyball courts her entire life. She's also been part of winning programs throughout. I expect the Riders to become a very good program in the near term. It will be fun to add WR into the mix of good teams from the FC.

Western has a good core of solid athletes.. Division III in District 6 is going to be very difficult. Edison comes back with a great group from their 22-0 JV team, Wynford is back with a load of talent. Upper Sandusky is HUGE and have a load of weapons. Huron has almost everyone back, Margaretta has alot back. Should be a healthy October in District 6 Division III.

Wait, wait, wait....we're getting a little ahead of ourselves here. No way is WR competing for anything at this point. We're talking about a program that has been down for awhile now. We're talking about getting them back to becoming a consistent, winning program. Lisa has the ability to bring this to the Riders. Baby steps. Right now in the FC we have St. Paul and in recent years Monroeville. Success for WR would be to shoot to develop the program so that they begin to be part of the Firelands Conference conversation.

Isn't this great!! The snow is falling. The winds are blowing and we are talking volleyball. To Western Reserve, crawl before you walk, walk before you run. The Firelands will go through St. Paul until someone dethrones them. Monroeville gave them a run and now Western Reserve sets their sites on them. The league got better. D-3 is really tough Wynford, Margaretta, Huron, Western Reserve and Edison. Edison got away from D-2 with Norwalk and Madison. Still pretty tough. I will stick my neck out and predict Norwalk to the state tournament in D-2. This is their year. With all the talent on that team, they are going to be tough to beat. Got to go, front porch needs shoveled and salt put down.

D-3 in north central Ohio looking good, norwalk will definitely make a big run at the state, with what Madison lost they wont be much of a challenge for norwalk... maybe sandusky Perkins or Lexington will be able to challenge norwalk in district 6 but odds are norwalk walks into Ontario. Will be fun.

No kidding! That why there's a comma after d-3, also Ontario is where the d-2 regionals are held I just thought most volleyball fans knew that. Apparently not! The post above by rich sports talked about norwalk and d-2 if you needed an answer.

Monroeville sort of dethrone St. paul ending their 75 game win streak and claiming a share of the conference. Despite losing the POY in Kluding, watch out for two freshman one in particular to have a big year for the lady Eagles. This program continues to grow in baby steps to get to an elite level, and will get there with their current coach.

Also speaking of Western, they are not anywhere close to being at the SP-Monroeville teams. Last year they didn't come close to knocking either team off, and no offence, but Western girls are still a basketball school and I'm sure the summer is dominated by basketball, but i am glad to see WR and SC becoming somewhat more competitive as the bottom of the league might be some of the worst volleyball I have ever seen.

I was just sticking to the header of the thread.

I guess I'm just one of those fans that aren't "in the know" about those nuances about regionals and things like that. Gosh, maybe it would help if I got out to see what the game's about, that way I would be "in the loop?" Please help us unwashed masses.
