I think the tendency is to give defending champions the favorite's role. In this case, I don't see this as a bad decision.

Defiance will be interesting. We have the quarterback and both WR's back. Have to replace the top 2 RB's, but the the rest looked like they had potential in limited action. That's usually the least of our concerns, because outside of 2010 we just plug someone in and they rush for close to 1000 yards. Don't think scoring points will be a problem.

But the defense was atrocious the last 2 years. If that doesn't improve it's another season between 3 and 5 wins. If they do I could see them breaking into the top half of the league, maybe even winning 6 or 7. You can see signs of the program being rebuilt from the 1-9 year, but we'll see how long it takes.

I expect Defiance to be above .500 this season with all the players they have coming back.Therefore I would place them in the top half of the WBL somewhere around 4th place.

Its kinda weird for Redskin fans to talk about league titles in back to back years. Still getting used to having Frye as coach. It would be nice to not have to worry about losing. We could someday get to the point where we gripe about 2 or 3 losses in a season.

I think Coach Phillips and the Roughriders will be better prepared this year.They played against alote of good teams last year and saw a few of Ohios tope QBs and teams. I can see St.Marys going 7-3 or better!
