* Outlook – The Rough Riders had a rough offseason after standout senior lineman Ryan Anderson was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. Anderson, a 2010 JJHuddle All-Ohio third team selection, had offers from several BCS schools and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. His football career is over. According to longtime head coach John Nemec (202 career wins): “Our players have dedicated themselves to work hard and not let Ryan down. ‘Never let your guard down’ became their motto. Ryan's battle has become our battle – We are ‘All In’ to help our teammate. He inspires us all.” Expectations remain high with the return of 12 two-year starters, including Howard and Graves who were both All-Portage Trail Conference last year. Chapman (a talented move in) and fellow junior Zach Janus (last year’s JV starter) will vie for the QB spot. Sommers is one to watch.
