With the 2010 Mr. Football being announced this week who are the top candidates for the award. I have to believe Akise Teague is one of the favorites. Here is his 2010 Mr. Football Credentials. Achieved verses 10 playoff teams. Also to note in the four of the games because they were blowouts he only touched the ball 8 times on average in those four games.

Teague and it shouldn't even be close. IMHO if Braxton Miller would have never sprained his ankle and missed a couple games he would have won. Especially now that he's lead his team to the tittle game. Can't wait to watch Teague play against Coldwater in the D5 Championship!!!

Not yet decided but my guess is almost anywhere he wants. Has offers from the Big Ten, MAC shools and YSU.

Miller wins it, when was the last time you seen a div-5 player win it, Danny McCarthy should have won it hands down in 08 but they gave it to a div-1 player instead.

It was 2007, and McCarthy did get hosed royally.

Teague should be a no brainer.

I love Teague as a player, and have said so all year. But Mr. Football.....NOPE!

Braxton Miller had the same brilliant runs as Teague, but against strong D1 competition. Although Ursuline did play Mooney, SVSM and Steubenville....ALL THOSE TEAMS WERE JUST SHELLS OF THEMSELVES THIS YEAR. They were all down, big time.

A D2 Lake Catholic was solid, better than the above mentioned, and Ursuline won 14-10? Hardly a dominating performance by Teague against a very good but not great D2 team. Ursuline played NO D1 Teams (to their credit). And their D5 playoff run is against teams where defense is "optional".

Miller was offered by TOSU last spring.......that says it all.

How many yards would Braxton Miller have playing against St.Thomas Aquinas, NDCL, South Range, Kirtland (playing a 2nd team QB) and LCC who never even forced a punt against Ursuline?

Heck......he'd still be running.....

Don't be suprised if you see teague in the scarlet and gray. Teague is the best player in the state hands down and he will be big time in college as well. I've played with rbs and against rbs who went to DI colleges and this Teague has different speed, burst, balance, vision, and most of all power. On paper he's not big but he runs like he's 6'2 220 ask his opponets.

tanski beat mccarthy in 2007, at least that's how most Mooney fans saw it, i'd like to see how the voting really went... erick howard won in 2008 and 2009

Curtis Enis was probably the Mr. Football winner from the smallest school. He went to Mississinawa Valley, which isn't too terribly far from here.
