Mamarella? If you mean Marcus from last season,he hung up the cleats and is attending Ohio State If you are recalling Rinehart he is at Kent and has started since freshman season he has been named MAC special teams P.O.W. a couple times, got off an 80 yard punt last season and a 65 yarder this year appears to have pro potential.
Dover has another Mamarella playing this season as a sophmore, and doing a great job, brother 3 is a 7th or 8th grader and is also very talented.

Let's not dismiss Marlington from possible turnovers. Sure enough, those backs could cough up the ball just as easily as any other football player out there.

All I'll say is that after week 4, I would have been very suprised if you would have told me Dover would be in the Regional Finals after beating Big Red AT Steubenville... but I'll take it!

All he needed was a little love and a rrr and he would leave us Dover RFD people alone. He got his Dover one and done speech in. Just maybe, the stuber taunt? It could be over. I saw a Stuber 2011 thread started. Maybe that will keep them busy till next year.
I'm with you ifftsupporter I'll take a week 13 too.

Addressing Marlington's "weakness" against the pass. If you check the teams Marlington played who pass for their "bread" (Louisville, Northwest) Marlington came out on top 21-7 and 32-21. Marlington is 12-0 for a reason. This should be a great game. Dymonte Thomas is a huge force on defense. He did Northwest in single-handedly the last two years, on defense! This year, with the score 26-21, he took an INT to the house and ended the game.

Louisville's top receiver had a terrible time holding on to passes - and he was open - in the first half especially or the game with Marlington might have turned out much different. Leps had at least 22 first downs vs the Dukes too, just couldn't put the ball in the end zone that night, and I do give some credit to the Duke defense.
I certainly wouldn't have said Louisville was using the pass as their 'bread and butter' this year either. Passing was coming along as the season progressed. Neff was picking up 1st downs by bulldozing through Dukes.
A good passing team will give Marlington a run for the money, and I've said it all year - if you want to beat the Dukes you had better be able to put up 30 pts. on the board, weather not being a factor.

Blackwolf, you are on the same sorry level as droiddoes. I hope Dover wins this weekend, but not for you two morons. Like I said, stop being stupid and act as if your team has won something significant before. And do not tell me where to post: this is a pay site, and I've paid my money and can discuss whatever I feel. That is, after all, the purpose of JJ Huddle.

Both teams are capable of putting up points. Marlington is capable of shutting people down, too. I'll take Marlington. 34-28

I was looking over some stats from friday night Ohio and seen where Marlington has missed alot of PAT's and has not kicked a field goal all year. Has Marlington even tried a field goal at all this year? Is Marlington's kicker that bad? I also seen where the kicker was switched about halfway through the season.
Go Dover!

You are correct...it has been a struggle. The kid who started the year at kicker didnt work out so well (and got injured playing soccer), so the backup QB (freshman) started kicking halfway thru the year. He has been much better, and has only missed once I believe, but he missed one game with a mild concussion that he got in a JV game playing QB, so we missed a bunch that game too. Last week LV blocked the first one, then we made all the rest that we attempted.
No field goal attempts yet, and I dont expect any unless we were inside the 10 and it makes sense to kick it.

Tornadoes and Dukes... Great battle of the nicknames.
Best of luck to both teams!!
My crystal ball says the ground game takes the day, but i have to say that as a Mooney fan! Otherwise, I might get excommunicated.
Marlington 28
Dover 20
