Pantherman - seriously? This isn't going to be a game - Central will easily win this one in a very lopsided contest. I don't see Start having the personnel to match at any position, nor do they have the bench Central brings to the game. I personally feel bad for some of these schools going up against the much stronger ones in the TCL - it's probably demoralizing enough to the players to realize they really don't have much of a chance in this match up...I wouldn't want to be on the other end of this one.

Wish both schools good luck and hope their players stay healthy.

How demoralizing was it for St Francis to get beat by 10 when they played Sylvaina Southview? The Knights lost to them 36-26 at U of T. Start played them to within a touchdown at Cat's stadium and only lost 20 to 14. If you can play the former State Champs (Southview Cougars) to within 6 at their house, i certainly am not going to write you off.

Don't tell the Start kid's they have no chance,St Johns did that a couple of years ago and found out the hard way.

Talk about personnel & depth they stacked up pretty well with Ross, AW, & Southview. Start is the second largest school in N.W.Ohio, we are not talking about Libbey or Woodward, the Fun & Gun is gone on Tremainsville Rd.

The Spartans have played three tough games in a row and hung tight in all three, they lost to AW 23-20 and gave the Little Giant's of Fremont Ross all they wanted, the Little Giants did not put that game away until the 4th quarter.

Only a frannie would come on here and predict a Irish blowout, you tickle me with that one. I would just bet Dempsey would agree with me on this game after a tough win and a long road trip home.

That being said i will stop short of predicting a Spartan victory friday night but this one has upset written all over it! They can compete!

GO IRISH!

Southview was the NLL co champ last year not runner up. Also Start is a better team then people are giving them credit for. they do have size and depth as well as some very speedy receivers. If they could just work on their run game they will do ok. Although I think that TCC will beat them handily.

I don't know about demoralizing, pantherman - I don't play the game, I watch. It was disappointing. But you take it way too seriously if you get demoralized by a high school football game. And I'm also not a Frannie, just a fan...so any bravado you must think I have for predicting a CCHS blowout can't be attributed to my education. I am certain I don't represent anyone but myself. I don't think it will be close. CCHS is going to be a machine this year. I'll stick with what I said, but thanks for trying to tear me down because SFS lost to Southview!! I'll try not to lose any more sleep over that. LOL!

Start always gets up for this game and plays hard. CCHS better get its ears back and be ready for a fight. Their speed and athleticism is a real threat to anyone they play.

Start may be the best "other" team in the City League. They definitely can compete. They just don't seem to be able to win very often. I would imagine that it would eventually wear on them a bit.

CCHS's offensive line will wear Start down as the game goes on. CCHS wins by 14.

Please don't read anything malicious into this, but I also think Central will be going against their back-up QB, if not, he is still probably pretty dinged up. All game he took a pretty good beating, their last possession of game in a mad scramble he really took a hard one, laid there for a couple minutes. Not that Central would not beat them with him healthy, I just think this adds to Central's dominance over them.
